Born in Victoria, BC, former Nanaimo Clipper and Abbotsford Canuck Matt Irwin has officially retired.

Irwin left a great impact on last year’s Abbotsford Canucks. He was a great leader to the young guys out there. Everybody loved him in the locker room.

Quinn Hughes’ shot production is skyrocketing this year.

His shots, shot attempts and individual scoring chances at five-on-five are trending toward career highs.

His defensive game is also seeing a big jump — controlling 66.4% of scoring chances when he’s on the ice at five-on-five.
