06.12.2025 00:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yesterday I wandered around the Repulse Bay beach and made some new discoveries: huge statues of Guanyin the Goddess of Mercy and ๅคฉๅ the Goddess of the Sea! There are lots of changes in the vicinity since my last visit to the beach and thought the commercialization of the area was a bit overdone.
05.12.2025 06:43 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Never expected to find something like this in Shenzhen!
This new shopping mall is one of several malls in different locations called The MixC ่ฌ่ฑกๅ, and this brand new one is designed by a Japanese architect and is located in the region of ๅๆตท.
It was quite a unique experience wandering in this exquisite Shenzen bookstore! It was actually on an Instagram friend's recommendation that I made a special trip to the place. Absolutely worth the time!

Had another memorable day in Shenzen, plus warm company of loved ones!

28.11.2025 12:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Chang Huasen is definitely my new favorite now!! But Gong Jun is not weak either in this drama! They make a dashing pair!
28.11.2025 09:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Well, I guess you can watch both at the same time!
28.11.2025 08:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Finally I finished watching #BloodRiver! I did sigh a sigh of relief about the ending ๐ and can't wait for S2!! My verdict: this is the best #wuxia #cdrama that I've watched in 2025! I think's it's better than #BloodofYouth and may be on par with #AJourneytoLove. I adore the Muyu-Changhe dynamics!!
28.11.2025 07:38 โ ๐ 19 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 1Yes, the painting is titled "White Peacock"!

I'd say Hong Kong people are incredibly creative and imaginative! Some of the actors and actresses who played the main characters actually made an indelible impression on viewers' mind! And the fight scenes were the main draw!
25.11.2025 00:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, the 80s were probably the golden years for adaptations from Jin Yong's novels!
25.11.2025 00:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Can't agree more that the two types of media influence each other! But there's actually no lack of China-produced wuxia & xianxia cdramas that have caught westerners' attention! I always love non-Chinese POV that shows passion in Chinese culture ๐คฉ
24.11.2025 09:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Had a good time going down memory lane!! ๐๐๐
24.11.2025 07:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A Touch of Zen and Dragon Inn are my all-time favorite King Hu wuxia movies!!! These are timeless classics of the genre!!!

24.11.2025 07:47 โ ๐ 9 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes! While we consider wuxia & xianxia media as an essential part of the Chinese fantasy culture, non-Chinese players of wuxia games, especially first-time ones, may be fazed by the superhuman stunts ๐ ๐ค

24.11.2025 00:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Wuxia games have been around for a long time now, but wuxia movies much much longer! Perhaps there're two separate sets of audiences? I myself am a diehard wuxia movie fan! ๐
24.11.2025 00:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh, that 2024 exhibition was a special one-time event held in Central District to celebrate Jin Yong's birth centenary. The statues of various characters were displayed at that event. But the various exhibits at the Museum are different items like film excerpts, handwritten manuscripts etc.
23.11.2025 12:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Jin Yong Gallery ้ๅบธ้คจ is a permanent part of the Heritage Museum, and its exhibits get changed every now and then. This was my third visit to the Gallery in seven years. ๐
23.11.2025 10:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I spent this Sunday morning at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, browsing precious excerpted scenes of old #wuxia films/TV series adapted from Jin Yong's novels, as well as losing myself in the collection of ink paintings of renowned painter Chao Shao-an ่ถๅฐๆ from the Lingnan School of Painting ๅถบๅ็ซๆดพ.
