Met with @gordjohns.bsky.social today to discuss the $500M in stalled active transportation funding. πŸš²πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

We are calling on Minister @gregorrobertson.bsky.social to approve pending applications NOW so communities don't miss the 2026 construction window. πŸ› οΈ

Cycling is ten times more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities Active travel can help tackle the climate crisis earlier than electric vehicles – even if you swap the car for a bike for just one trip a day.

Cycling is 10 times more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities and 100 times more fun.

also noise pollution in the U.S. is almost entirely from cars and it’s literally giving people heart attacks

I wrote an article about it because it’s so absurd

Horses are nowhere near as loud as cars! And cars shit into the air you breath, not just on the ground.

Luckily, there are solutions to the car noise problem. Lower speed limits is the most obvious. But getting rid of gas & diesel engines is going to be the best!

The Myth of Regenerative Ranching The purveyors of β€œgrass-fed” beef want you to believe that it solves meat’s environmental problem. But this is merely a branding exercise, not a climate solution.

You may have come across a piece about the ostensible plight of regenerative ranchers in Point Reyes in a lefty mag. It spends a lot of time on description and pathos and almost none on the actual environmental impacts of livestock. Read this too (or just instead): newrepublic.com/article/1637...

You could try finding constructive ways to hit things really hard... like chopping wood, or demolition for a reno... or boxing?

I think it's cute that people are playing football at a Bad Bunny concert but my God, watching sports has been ruined by sports betting. The ads are relentless, the tie-ins are so awkward and celebrities should be shamed for promoting it.

These young brothers sacrifice normal teenage life to be full-time ICE watchers in Minneapolis β€” and say they won’t regret it | CNN The teenagers’ names are Sam and Ben, but to the federal immigration agents they interact with daily, the two boys wielding cell phones and taking down plate numbers are a duo known as β€œthe brothers.”

Sam and Ben are proof that the kids are alright.

That the next generation cares about their fellow human being.

That there’s still good in the world and a reason to hope.

What brave and confident kiddos to be willing to do this for their immigrant friends and neighbours!

I hate that so much of every day now is spent hearing about the monstrous desires of this foul, grifting, broken little freak who by rights should have spent his short life alone and unloved and unheard, or simply been drowned in a sack at birth to save us all the pain.

This is why I wasn't too excited to see the release of "the files". It feels like beating a dead horse just so we can bring more attention to a bunch of people who we already know are not worth it

Teen brothers living with disabilities killed - ABC listen Disability advocates say there's been an outpouring of grief, sadness and anger over a suspected murder-suicide in Perth.

Two disabled autistic boys were murdered by their parents in Australia.

The parents then took their own lives.

The family recently lost their government disability support.

Cutting off support ends lives.

There’s nowhere near enough support for people with disabilities or caregivers:

Coal power generation falls in China and India for first time since 1970s β€˜Historic’ moment in biggest coal-consuming countries could bring decline in global emissions, analysis says

This is huge: For the first time since the early 1970s, coal power generation has fallen in both China & India.

It undercuts claims that decarbonisation is pointless while they expand coal. Renewables are no longer just adding capacity β€” they’re displacing coal.

Your tax dollars at work: Ontario has spent nearly $270,000 in external legal fees (not including their own in-house lawyers or $200,000 awarded in costs) to attack your Charter rights and amplify a bad faith culture war contrary to the advice of their own experts.

To anybody still using X: sexual abuse content is the final straw, it’s time to leave | Marie Le Conte It was hard for me to quit Elon Musk’s poisoned platform, but I urge others to do the same, especially in light of Grok’s imagery of women and children, says journalist Marie Le Conte

"We all love to think that we have power and agency, and that if we try hard enough we can manage to turn the tide – but X is long dead. The only winning move now is to step away from the chess board, and make our peace with it once and for all."
