People are always trying to create resources to meet a need 100% instead of using resources that are 80% of the way there.

So those new things are haphazard, and only get 85% of the job done, so there's a lot of excitement, for like 2 weeks.

Use the resources we have. Stop decentralizing.

Being a real community is incompatible with this "actually you don't owe anyone anything" mindset that is so trendy these days. Sure, you don't have to play with anyone you don't want! You have that choice! But that choice directly contributes to stagnation in the scene.
