With LUTI divs being recently released I think its important to remind everyone of a few things:
- LUTI divs are not designed to estimate community skill, we just use them for that anyways.
- There are a limited number of spots in each division, not unlimited like in a skill estimation system.

people really be forgetting that if they play tournaments and stream their opponents are likely to watch their VOD back to see their comms/perspective 😭 if you wanna make connections don't be a dick

There was a team we faced a while ago that spent the entire stream shittalking us (both when the lost the first 3 games and then when we started sweeping them).

They also were on stream during a tournament shittalking our friends too

Needless to say we don’t interact with them anymore

Thing is we don’t even mind waiting 10-15 minutes if it’s something like their bus was late or they got stuck in traffic or had an emergency! Gods know we’ve had that happen!

Mesopelagic has a small list of teams we don’t scrim against because for some reason asking people in this community to show up on time is like killing and taxidermying their beloved pet in front of their eyes

The sharks of Mesopelagic would literally die of a stroke if they had to take this game seriously for more than 5 seconds

It does but that doesn’t stop the majority of people from continuing to have extremely inaccessible webpages.

I think it would help if this was enforced more.

Majority of them aren’t even WCAG compliant and as someone with visual impairments nothing pisses me off more 😵‍💫

Vague posting, but don’t accept scrim requests on Sendou…to try and gaslight about the start time then delay for stupid reasons. Canceling stuff last minute is not only rude and a waste of everyone’s time, but it also reflects poorly on your end. And no one is going to want to scrim your team.

I don’t really have a stake in this conversation but even if you disagree with the solutions what happened to having an adult conversation about it? What happened to respectful dialogue?

I usually don’t comment or read into Splatoon trends or drama but why are we being disrespectful or rude towards people who are just trying their best to suggest ways to make our community better? It’s creative thinking that’s going to only HELP move the comp scene forward (1/2) #compsplatoon

Going with some other replies I’m just not sure what the solution is? Like mentioned you really can’t force people to play with people they might not be comfortable with. Adults often don’t want to group with minors for a variety of reasons (maturity, inappropriate jokes, availability, etc)
