Thanks to @cira.ca for funding the pilot through their NetGood program & the use of their DNS Firewall service to ensure CommuniFi is secure. Thanks to both our core project partners, @och-lco.bsky.social & Hiboo Networks for their support since we first thought of the idea almost five years ago!

Our website login has now been resolved, apologies for any hassles. A weather-related power outage caused some unexpected configuration issues with our servers.

Some members are reporting login issues this morning -- we're currently looking into it. Internet services do not seem to be affected.

In the meantime, you can still access your NCF Zimbra email by typing mail.ncf.ca into your URL.

Sorry, we had to try a couple of fixes/workarounds: you should be reconnected now.

We continue to look into the source of the issue so we can ensure it doesn't happen again and are also working to restore and improve our network redundancy since completing the data centre move.

If you are still not connected, try power-cycling your modem by unplugging it for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in again -- even if you previously tried this without success. If you continue to have issues, please contact the HelpDesk at 613-721-1773 ext. 0 or by emailing support@ncf.ca. 2/3

Update: We have restored DSL connectivity.

Apologies for the delays: we take our network uptime seriously and know how important reliable connectivity is.

In the meantime, please do not reset your modem as this could mean you lose your modem configuration and won't be able to automatically reconnect once the network issue is resolved.

Many of our DSL members are currently out of service due to a network issue: apologies. We are looking into it and hope to resolve it as soon as we can. We will keep you posted as we know more.
