There are of course different situations about it (and different sources and awful authors) but still. This is like groun stone for things in fandom that you probably enjoy.

Maybe controversial, but I often choose to ignore people's opinions on stuff if they didn't interact with the source material at all. If you only watch the show through gifs, it's fine, but I'll probably ignore your serious takes about characters from the show.
