I'm still trying to remember the last time that an autonomous control system for trains has had this many crashes as much as autopilot has.

I feel like if it can't work in the Midwest (especially rural areas) then I'm going to have a hard time recommending it regardless.

That said, ComEd does have a sizeable fleet of PHEVs that I think could be more widely marketed if they work well. Also why I think at the very least heavy duty EREVs should be a thing.

But I'm not talking about pickups, I'm talking about the heavy duty CDL driven vehicles for worksites like the international eMV that ComEd has like 1 of because they're so expensive.

Once someone gets a heavy duty electric vehicle comparable in on site performance and price, it'll be hard to stop it for sure. But you gotta have parts availability, nothing will work if it can't be diagnosed on site.

Yeah China and BYD has an advantage with the Blade platform, something that I wish they would implement with their buses that they built for here from the beginning instead of skimping on the batteries and lying about the range.

I think the winter range thing has gotta be sorted out and on heavy duty vehicles, it's gotta have comparable PTO performance for worksite stuff.

My firm belief is that Ford should make a truck based on the explorer because it would sell well, maybe better than the maverick since it's a bit larger.

You can haul more than an SUV and if it's not based on a ladder frame like an actual truck then it will ride way better. Plus it's more right sized for most people anyways.

Tbh this is where I would just redirect ppl to the Van Galder/Coach USA booking site but I get why they have it for ease of integration but it is frustrating.

Connecting bus, not full Thruway. Difference is that Amtrak doesn't set the depart/arrival times, that's up to Van Galder. Basically they're using the Amtrak app as another booking page like Cantrail.

It will be good as a Hiawatha extension, initially I was going to fear it taking from Van Galder svc but then I realized it's only two round trips so it's fine then
