My team and I joined Rep. Guzzardi and his team to help out at the Chopin Park Grocery Giveaway last week! It was great to make sure so many families had access to food before the holiday. Thanks to all the partners who helped make this happen and keep our neighbors fed!

Please continue to take care of each other and engage in mutual aid projects if you are able to—we are strongest when we are in community with each other.

A lot of folks are concerned with the recent changes to SNAP benefits. To make folks aware of the options that will remain available, regardless of what is going on with these benefits, my team and I have prepared this list of food pantries in our district.

The representative will also assist in creating an account and comparing plans. If you don't enroll during Open Enrollment, you will be unable to obtain health insurance on the ACA Marketplace unless you qualify for a special enrollment period so don't miss your opportunity to get coverage.

The Navigator will be helping to check your eligibility for a healthcare plan, or help you compare plans if you are considering changing your current plan for 2026.

Open Enrollment on the ACA Health Insurance Marketplace GetCoveredIllinois.gov is now open! Please join us this Thurs., Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. -2:30 p.m. at my district office, located at 3140 W. Montrose Ave. where a Healthcare Navigator from Get Covered Illinois will be able to assist.

Whether you’re donating to help a neighbor or picking up free groceries to support your family during a challenging time, you’re welcome here. 💙

🥫 Canned goods: corn, beans, fruit, mushrooms, tuna, pineapple, applesauce, pears, mixed veggies, peach slices, peanut butter
🍽️ Pantry staples: pasta & sauce, mac & cheese boxes, La Moderna soups, crackers

Join us Monday, Nov. 24 from 2–4 p.m. at Chopin Park (3420 N. Long) as we come together to support neighbors facing food insecurity. Additionally you can drop off items during business hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday prior to Nov. 20.
