En la década de 1930 en los USA los sacos de harina se fabricaban con tela de algodón. La empresa Kansas Wheat, en la Gran Depresión, notó que los reutilizaban para coser vestidos. Por ello decidieron imprimirlos con motivos florales y coloridos.
