Lindridge St Lawrence CE Primary School and Lindridge Church in the parish of Teme Valley North are the latest to be awarded a Sliver Church and School Partnership Award. Representatives from both the school and church were presented with the award at a special service in church.

Pray for everyone who is supporting the ministry in the Berrow and Longdon Benefices during their vacancy. We pray that your will be done, Lord, and we lift before you whoever the new vicar will be. We pray that, through the Holy Spirit, they will hear your call to lead these parishes.

In Malvern & Upton Deanery, we pray for growth in the links between churches, so that together we may be an expression of the body of Christ. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the Deanery Leadership Team, as they seek to further kingdom growth and strengthen the impact of mission and ministry.

Please pray for the Diocese of Peru. Following his consecration as Bishop Coadjutor in August, pray for Bishop Victor as he undertakes his new role. Pray too for Bishop Jorge, as the two work together to discern the future shape of mission and ministry in the diocese.

Today was an exciting day as Hugh Nelson was officially confirmed as our next Bishop of Worcester by the Bishop of London at a special ceremony at St Mary-le-Bow Church in London. He'll begin his ministry following his service of welcome on Sat 17 Jan, 2pm in the Cathedral.

We thank you for the wonderful team of ALMs across the Diocese, for their gifts, time and knowledge. Bless them and all those they serve in the parishes.

We would love to have greater diversity and wider representation on our Bishop's Council. We need people with a range of perspectives and skills - could you join us?

Pray for all those who give their time to be part of the Bishop’s Council of Trustees. Grant them wisdom and discernment as they listen to the views of all members and make considered decisions on the future direction for our diocese.

In Morogoro, we give thanks for the staff of Tunguli Health Centre, especially Yona, the midwife, who plays such a strategic role in advising on maternal and child health and for his willingness to travel to remote locations and hold clinics where those expecting babies can be advised and helped.

Please pray for all those who provide administrative support across the Diocese; often the first point of contact for enquiries from the wider community and huge support to the ministry leadership team.

Please pray for retired clergy in Greater Dudley Deanery. Retired clergy provide great wisdom and experience as well as enabling worship during clergy absence. Give thanks for their ministry, pray for their wellbeing, and pray for more people to feel called to ordained ministry.

Pray for the diocesan Mission and Ministry Team as they support and develop vocations into both lay and ordained ministry and provide training opportunities for all in parishes, which offer practical support and deepen Christian discipleship.

Today is World Toilet Day, a UN Day of Observance. More people in the world have a mobile phone (5.8 billion) than have access to a toilet (3.5 billion). Pray for those at risk from poor sanitation, and for Tearfund’s Toilet Twinning initiative, considering how your church might get involved.

At St Thomas, Stourbridge, please pray for the development of our building and ministry team as we enact our renewal church mission plan. Plans were delayed, so please ask God to hasten our teams, growing our congregations and reaching all the people of Stourbridge.

Merciful God, bless all who serve in our emergency services. Grant them strength, protection, and peace as they respond with courage and compassion to those in greatest need. Amen.

Loving God, You call us to protect the vulnerable and speak out for justice. Strengthen us in our safeguarding work, That we may reflect Your love in action and build churches of safety and grace. Amen.

Lord give us the strength and guidance to grow your kingdom here on earth. Help us to discern your vision and let us join in your plan.

Term which 90 people took part in. 10 households in Claines decorated their homes as “light stops,” each displaying a word that formed part of a Bible verse, for participants to unscramble.
