Looking up into the branches of a eucalyptus tree where a branch bends off to the right and creates actual wrinkles in the smooth bark. Longs strands of peeling bark hang down the trunk, mixed in with the leaves.

Morning walk. Posting late because I’m trying to stay off screens on Sundays. It’s kind of (not) working.

Love eucalyptus even though they’re invasive and highly flammable. As a resident of SoCal it’s truly some kind of betrayal to love them… but just look at those wrinkles!

Puffy gray and white clouds fill the sky but areas of bright blue shine through. A distant hill is halfway shadowed by the cloud above with sun hitting the green treetops across the bottom of the photo. More hills are seen in back along the horizon.

Feels like a trick question 😬😳

The very best kind of human.

Gray low clouds and fog hanging over the hills behind the lake. Dark green trees reflect in the water and the color is barely seen due to the low morning light. Almost looks like a B&W photo but it isn’t.

Morning walk. I like a gray gloomy morning. It respects my need to slowly and quietly welcome the day. Doesn’t immediately slap me awake like those cheerful and bright sunny mornings.

I’ve been going with LIARS for a while now. It’s satisfying!

Intricate spider web built on the peeling bark of. Eucalyptus. The morning sun is still a little low and only catching the top 2/3 of the web so looks like it’s been cut perfectly straight across the bottom. Photo is in black and white.

Morning walk with spider’s web. I love how the sun wasn’t yet hitting the bottom third so it looks perfectly cut off.

Also eucalyptus bark is just fascinating. Nature heals.
