How can I deal with #spam emails? I’ve tried smart folders, rules, but they keep getting through.

Once Boxing Day’s passed, I’m always keen to get all the Christmas decorations taken down and packed away. That’s enough gaudiness for one year.

I’m picking up our new car today, a Citroën C3 Picasso. Used car for just under 4k. Not a particularly gorgeous looking motor—my partner is already calling it a hearse—but a practical runaround 🚙

Bleurghhh. The last pic of me lying on the beach 🏖️ in Tenerife was a few hours from developing flu. Feeling utterly rotten on a four hour flight home was no fun at all. My partner got nabbed for a €65 fee for his baggage too. Still, we got “upgraded” to extra legroom exit seats, so silver linings!

It’s not a bad life when I’m relaxing on a beach in Tenerife in mid December. Having a few thoughts about being in my fifties. Some faint regret about the dreams I didn’t pursue. And gratitude for all that I do have. How very fortunate I am 🙏🏼

I grew up in Upper Broughton. Our postcode was LE14 3BN. That’s Leics rather than Notts? I think our phone dialling code was 0664, which is Melton Mowbray. I could be wrong, postcodes don’t always make sense.

Went to Wren Kitchens in #Altrincham to scope out a kitchen refit in our new home. Here’s a render of the design, which we got to “visit” using their VR headset. It was fun 🥽😮

Couple of months to go yet but determined not to repeat the stress of last time we moved. Starting early!

We’re back to those mornings where you wake up feeling all snug, except for a cold nose. It takes me back to my childhood in the 70s and 80s, when my bedroom window would either stream with condensation or be coated in intricate patterns of ice. Double glazing was a luxury we didn’t have back then.
