There is no sound and yet I hear it clearly

My in-game splatpost pixel drawing for Splatoon 2's Final Fest called Splatocalypse: Chaos vs Order, for Team Chaos. Drawing is heavily based on Zelda: Majora's Mask and features the members of in-game idol group Off the Hook--inkling Pearl and octoling Marina--as characters from MM. Pearl on the left is posed like the Skull Kid in the official MM artwork, wearing the titular Majora's Mask alongside her Splatocalypse outfit, staring at her contorted hand in front of her face as the mask slowly takes control. Marina on the right is the Fierce Deity as they appear in the official MM artwork, arms raised above her head and the Fierce Deity's sword in her hands readied for a strike. In the middle between the two is the DecaTower from Inkopolis Square, taking the place of MM's Clock Tower, as a silhouette of a masked Pearl prances atop it like the impish Skull Kid would. My first attempt at lineless art, circa Sept 2019, a parody of "Untitled Goose Game" but with the character Groose from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as a terrible goose. So...a white goose, dressed like Groose. Henceforth referred to as Goose Groose. There are three little pictures. The first, in the upper left, is Goose Groose posed as Groose does in his official Skyward Sword artwork. He has a wide stance, one hand on his hip and the other running through his tall red pointy pompadour hair. He looks very full of himself. The second drawing, in the upper right, is Goose Groose honking with a red loftwing bird. Whether their honking is a sign of competing, communicating, or solidarity is unclear. The third drawing is Groose Goose stealing Zelda's sailcloth in his beak, looking rather pleased with himself as he runs away from an angry Zelda and Link. He is a terrible goose. Groose is the best character in Skyward Sword.

And if we primary the shit dems that keep funding ICE (or again, are like my rep, whimpering about how bad ICE is while celebrating passing budgets in time) and get Mamdani-like dems in office, then even better! WAY better!

ICE needs to be fully defunded and abolished. But fact is: BBB (which not a single dem senator voted for) means all dems can do atm is prevent giving any more money to ICE. Assuming we even have midterms, if dems win then the more drastic changes we have been yelling for have a better shot.

Firing the chuds is an enormously good first step, since those chuds were the shit at Jan6. Proud boys, oathkeepers, patriot front. None of 'em would have been pardoned under dem presidency and thus, not in ICE.

But yes, it's not enough. Arrest them and *ahem* "deal with them ccordingly".

I won't discount the fact that some dems just don't give a fuck what people say (example: my rep, whose staff I had the pleasure of yelling at lately). But largely, they're more likely to cede to public pressure and less likely to have gestapo shoot you in the face for it.

Man, ain't nobody saying they're saviors. They're just not fascists, (and some--but too few--of them even actually have progressive ideas!) It's a stupidly low bar but a very important one. You never give fascists power because the opposition isn't sparkly-unicorn-perfect.

Nobody's saying dems are perfect, or that they don't have their own horrible baggage. Want not-shitty dems? Vote local, vote in the fucking primaries, which get a pitiful voter turnout. There's a massive difference between the spineless response from legacy dems and the literal fucking dictionary definition of fascism that is the repubs. And I'm seeing way too many motherfuckers on here equating the two as being synonymous and (deliberately) helping to manifest another 2024.
