It was an honour to meet @srenvironment.bsky.social at the Pathways to Breathe Clean Air event this week, and hear insights from a range of experts in the field. The wide-ranging impacts of #AirPollution are no secret - we echo Astrid's call for governments to accelerate #CleanAir action.

This call is ahead of the 31st session of the International Seabed Authority (#ISA).

🌊States have obligations to protect the marine environment and the climate system that are owed to the international community as a whole.

🇨🇱Chile: ahora pública la comunicación que mandamos desde la Relatoría sobre el derecho a un ambiente sano en conjunto con el Relator Especial sobre sustancias tóxicas y derechos humanos (@srtoxics.bsky.social ) , acerca de los episodios de intoxicación masiva por contaminación en Valparaíso.

Adequate, integrated and inclusive planning, with a human rights-based and an ecosystem-based approaches is vital for implementing the human right to a healthy environment and its elements.

The report aims to identify and analyze existing planning tools, processes, frameworks and measures to protect human rights, including those coming from Indigenous Peoples, coastal and fishing communities, and peasants, as well as if and how present and future generations rights are considered.
