Murphy has promise I think. Maybe more at LCB. And whether top 5 PL level still tbc. Also Pivas looked good at CB - very tidy on the ball.

Murphy played for the U21s last night and was clattered a couple of times. Can’t see him starting a first team game within 24h.

I think both have been described as being back “on the grass” so guess they may join in with some aspects of first team training. But I read it as both a few weeks off joining in full training and being match fit.

Lad gets some amazing PR given he has one PL goal in the last 9 months. Hopefully finding his rhythm now and can get back to proving he’s elite by grabbing 10 PL goals and 10 PL assists this season.

They’ll be ok. At least one of the four wide players has to find some form eventually. And Wissa will be back at some point (even if it’s February).

Exacerbated by Gordon, Barnes and Murphy all struggling as well. Tough for Big Nick who’s trying to acclimatise to the PL when none of them are firing.

I love Sandy but that effort was 100% an attempted cross that he miss hit.

I have nothing else to post about today now that Gordon has finally had a good game after 8 months.

Early Metalheadz was often very different and experimental. See Hidden Agenda’s ‘The Flute Tune’ for example. Hidden Agenda were brothers from Durham I think based in Newcastle. No idea but hopefully Toon fans.

T-Power was always quite out there. Sometimes I loved his stuff on Emotif, sometimes too left field for my taste. Trace’s reimagining of Mutant is why he’s perhaps better remembered than other producers who really experimented back then.

A positive for me is that we’re losing narrowly whilst not really looking convincing. Sneak past Forest next weekend then look to push on once Wissa and Ramsey back.

Just poor defending

So there could be a feeling among Geordies that it’s difficult to “become” an NUFC fan without understanding this context. It’s something the club needs to handle carefully as they look to grow - & seem to be doing well so far IMO (Adidas, involving the Japanese Pardew headbutt fan, etc) so far.

I think this is largely dickheads being dickheads. But it is complex. Being an NUFC supporter is perhaps more closely linked to regional pride & identity than at other clubs. The neglect of the city/region by central government over many decades is part of this.

Technically they were miles better, so they could relax once the second goal went in & we tired. I think the apparent technical gulf was exacerbated by how poorly we used the ball tonight (e.g. set pieces) & we wouldn’t normally be that far behind, but step up from PL to UCL was clear.

They were a level above us but we battled really well.

Just knackered. They are practice game mode now.

Surely Bruno has to get a rest? He was playing at altitude in El Alto at god knows what time last night. And we have Barcelona in midweek. Maybe Miley starts in his place and Sandro does an hour before swapping for Bruno.

Is there a chance it’s all done? Personal terms presumably sorted weeks/months ago. An outline agreement on price/add-ons/instalments sorted between the clubs. Now just waiting for Brentford/Wolves to buckle and allow us to sign the Wilson replacement?
