I think for me it just comes down to what makes me a better writer. Using AI for anything that I can’t figure out will not. Don’t get me wrong, AI has its place. But I use it for things I already know how to do, like certain calculations for dates & distances. Other than that… nada. Not for my work.

just done that? But then I thought: NO. If I’d done that, I wouldn’t have learned my own way of making my charts, I wouldn’t have re-read a few mistakes and fixed them, I wouldn’t have learned the intricacies involved in doing the work because… success is in the details. So no. I’m happy I didn’t.

Tired from waiting on queries - decided to go out to distract myself (after weeks of staying in). Didn’t drink, wore sneakers but still managed to twist my ankle & fall. Now, gotta deal with a swollen ankle & bloody knee ALONG with waiting on queries.🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Work I’m doing before starting Book 2 of my Fantasy Romance series.

1: basic plot graph w/exactly what happens in each section.

2: has occupied my every thought for the last 10 days — An entire timeline for book 1 that blends into book 2.

When we don’t want to though, everything is the perfect excuse - been there, done that and I feel you 😂

Wanted to start book 2 of my 4 book series this week. But I spent the whole week making timelines, character profiles, other continuity sh*t + querying agents for book 1.. cherry on top? The rejections I got in less then 24 hours = 4

Today, I started work on book 2 of my Romantasy series. Spent 7 hours trying to figure out how create a timing template that I can use for the whole series &how to make a massive printable pdf of it. I tried canva, then excel. Asked AI a million ‘how to’ Q’s. Then decided to…not use it. Kill me now.

Draft 3 is killing me softly. Tho, I’m proud of the fact that I’m still under my word count limit. (Most high fantasy books can go upto 180k but debut authors should aim for 120k at most.

MYTH: CATS DON'T COMFORT YOU
WHEN YOU ARE SICK.
Last night I wasn't well when I went to bed. Lily, my rescue Indy doesn't like to sleep in bed with me. Last night she cuddled w/me over the blankets as I spent hours tossing,turning, not once did she leave me. She was awake the whole time, purring.
