95 year-old Gurkha veteran Bal Bahadur Thapa was admitted to our residential home following a nine-month period of being bedridden due to a hip fracture.

A comprehensive rehabilitation program was initiated and over time, with consistent effort and professional care, Bal made remarkable progress.

Nepal's monsoon season runs from June - September each year. It is vital for crops but also brings devastating landslides and floods. This makes reaching Gurkha veterans and widows in remote villages incredibly difficult for our Pensioner Support Teams.
