I mean I would definitely hope most 21st Century mental illnesses would be easily treated in the future. But some trauma needs to be worked through even when there is advanced medical technology. I’m sure there are medical treatments to assist counselling though.

Maybe in the 24th Century they end up with that but watching new Trek, they clearly still rely on counselling in the 23rd Century.

this episode is an example of the typical old Trek where trauma occurs in one episode and unlike real life, is fully resolved before the next episode and if ever spoken of again, it will likely be just a footnote. Modern Trek does so much better with trauma #StarTrekVOY

I love that the Kazon were deemed unfit for assimilation and thought to detract from the Borg. They did suck #StarTrekVOY

another episode is the one where Naomi Wildman is born. She and Harry die. Its painful to watch but it was needless pain because duplicates of them survive. Just messing with our hearts

I also hate temporal things. Maybe because I find time travel implausible and messing with time to be impossible. I also find the idea of using temporal tech to wipe out events and change events disturbing. No one should have that kind of power #StarTrekVOY
