but work was slow and 30 min or so of trying different search terms on ebay found them!!! I recognized them right away, I knew I would. they're a vintage german toy which makes sense for theodore (his dad was a german immigrant)

so his lil toy animals are based off ones I had as a kid that I was v fond of, but sometime around when I started middle school I decided I was "too old" for them and got rid of them and I've regretted it basically ever since, but I couldn't find them again

hiraeth's AC island is surrounded on all sides by a labyrinth to the extent that it's actually kind of hard to get to the airport. the interior is mostly trees and bug sculptures. he has all the "weird" villagers.

actually y'know what, theodore would be super into animal crossing. it would be his favorite thing in the world. he gets to have his own little house with his own stuff and he can run around in the sun and everyone is nice to him and he never has to feel afraid
