Loving being back in Nijmegen again and exploring all things gesture @isgs2025.bsky.social - fascinating morning keynote by Erica Cartmill (Indiana Univ) comparing gesture in children and apes.

Elon Musk is not a Federal employee or a political appointee. DOGE is not a real department. None of their activities are legal. This is a coup. The Republicans in Congress are willing participants in it. At what point do Democrats in DC get that and start acting like it? It’s not the price of eggs!

Looking forward to your book! As for me - I’m time poor but slowly working on 1) a New England regional ASL corpus, finishing a paper on IS and NGT comprehension, and writing up a study on a survey of US legal interpreting practice. 2) too many to list; must finish #1 above first.😜#AcademicSky

It is an added burden as a presenter (from personal experience) but conference sign language interpreters (like me) need at least a draft of slides several days in advance to properly prepare & do our job, making sure your brilliant thoughts & ideas are understood & well received by deaf attendees.
