While our priority is now to take care of our customers, we remain committed to the process in order to conclude a negotiated agreement," said Julie Lamontagne, Chief Human Resources, Corporate Responsibility and Communications Officer.

The company is making it seem as though the strike notice was the union’s decision.

The workers voted 99% to authorize a strike.

The union—which is made up the members, who vote in the executive—is honouring the will of its members.

The anecdotal pipeline was screaming this a couple of weeks ago. Also the attrition line has alway been bull shit, these are jobs that present and future generations will not have access to. And it will trickle down to those of us that rely on expendable income to feed our families.
