Seit der Jahrtausendwende ist das Sterben der Gemeinen Esche in Europa eine ökologische Herausforderung. Verursacher ist ein aus Asien stammender Pilz. Mit der Mikrobiom-Optimierung wurde ein Verfahren entwickelt, welches das Eschensterben eindämmen könnte.
