I am a mid 50's grognard who has been playing RPG's, tabletop wargames and painting minis for a long time. My hands are shaky, my eyes don't focus as well as they used to, but I still love painting minis, but not as well as I used to.
Today's read. The original box sets from Green Ronin. Dragon Age. I have all three boxes and the extra book they published. This has been sitting patiently on my bookshelf for over 15 years for me to get around to it. I do love a 3d6 RPG. I love many non d20 RPG's. I like the spread better

Today's read. A nice POD of Cryptworld. This is a super fun game. A nice update of Chill 1st edition. The d100 system is a little wonky to get used to as the rules for checks are not concisely described, but proper investigation by the players results in figuring it out

This morning's read. The Chaosium reprint of the 2nd edition Call of Cthuhlu RPG. Great game. I have soooo much stuff for this game. I need to get this (any edition) to the table. That is.. any version other than the d20 version. Didn't care as much for that.

This morning's read. Dread RPG. A diceless horror RPG. The players remove pieces from a Jenga tower when things happen to heighten the potential of danger. When the tower collapses, bad things happen. Well... the GM sees it as cool. The players see it as bad. Really bad.

Today's read on my day off work. I have a bunch of the Cubicle 7 Middle Earth 5e books. Today is the day to dive into them again. These books are really well written. I love that it is a D$D setting where you have to *not* be a murder hobo. The normal D$D dump stats are super important here.

I got my Arduin Portal to Adventure Kickstarter package the other day. It included a custom bamboo backscratcher. I have never seen a custom backstratcher for an RPG. I am amused.

This morning's reading. One foot in the Grave RPG. The rules light RPG where the players each play a senior resident of an assisted living facility when the zombie apocalypse happens. I have been thinking about this game for a while and just stumbled on it in one of my bookshelves.

Frida is "helping" me cook. She "helps" by laying on the floor of the kitchen and waiting for me to step around her. Before you say "kick her out"... she is deaf and blind in one eye and one of the sweetest souls I have met. I can step around her.
