There's thankfully a lot of donors. It would help the clinic to know who's ready to go, able to travel for the testing, and responsive. If you have questions please reach out to me. I know not everyone wants to identify and that's fine, but this will help make sure to filter serious candidates.

It's important to note that time is running a short and the search will continue as it has, but we also have a search beginning in the paired donor system. They will work in parallel.
Because we have to make decisions in a few months--it would help to identify those willing to travel.

There's supposed to be some way to get phone alerts but a lot of people have reported they aren't getting emails from the system to alert them. Generally you should hear back in always within a couple days on this stuff--if at any point you're not, you should call.

Some people have gotten their 'portal account' setup but people have had issues there. What's supposed to happen 1) you should get a medical question form within the system -> you fill that out. 2) after they review it, you get a message in the system under 'messages' but you may not be notified.

Yeah..a lot of people have and continue to have issues with that form. I really recommend calling, be aware overseas the call may not be free.
It's imperative to say -- if you've filled out the form and 'heard nothing' - you should call them.
It would be useful to know issues people had with this.

Hey just a reminder to those who are trying to donate. Again, thank you! It's best to call, but the form 'should' work--you should get an activation email within 24 hours and if you don't hear anything in a day or so, please call the donor clinic to get your account activated.

Ultimately those interested to donate to me need to either call UM Ann arbor's donor clinic or fill out the donor form (make sure to follow up if you hear nothing).
There's specific tests they need to move someone along in their process, so talking to your dr is great but won't move it forward.
