I just have to make my work so good and so visible that I cannot be looked over. I have to become undeniable.

And yeah, I say that as someone in this industry who makes art and maps and has struggled to pay my rent since 2020. I applied to sack groceries today.

My unhinged TTRPG take is to give more credit to editors, layout artists, and cartographers and pay them a living wage.

I feel you on this. I fought for YEARS to try to get into the artist alley of GenCon and never made the cut despite having arguably one of the most popular TTRPG webcomics for years. It was maddening.
