I just watched the bad bunny superbowl and i cried. I may not speak spanish but i can feel the emotion and love that brings people together. Everyone looked like they had such a good time as well

This is not Discord “walking things back.” This is them further explaining the situation in more detail, and elaborating on how the new system will work. I understand the impulse to attribute this to outrage and Nitro cancellations, but this is just a better explanation, not a change.

I would not call this a walkback at all, more like they are mansplaining to us that we are overreacting and what they want to do isnt that bad - still keep up the heat tho.

Just putting my hat in the ring but I'm not leaving discord or the server i curated. I feel like jumping ship is a bit too early rn and i curated my server brick by brick so im not leaving that.

I did cancel my nitro for time being and i do believe we should pressure discord for this decision

Guys, dont immediately jump ship. Complain on Discords forums. Spam their emails. Make noise. We'll never tackle the overlying problem if we just keep jumping ship.

Discord is easy to bully out of doing shit. We've made them stop doing NFT shit. We can stop them taking ID's. :)

It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

I got an email saying that they cannot review email submissions, and only receive customer support questions through this form: dis.gd/contact
