Do we have a list of reputable sources for helping Jamaica after this monster passes?

The reflection in a puddle is often a distorted image of the original. When we reflect back to our previous self we view it in the same way as the puddle, not a mirror. Be gentle with yourself. The mind often distorts the memory.

Sitting at the precipice of a stormy weekend draws all the cozy and comfort seeking feelings to the surface. It feels like a pause, a timely stormy pattern to quiet the human chaos and let nature's energy recharge my soul.

This cyclical pattern through history leads me to wonder what lesson we continue to miss.

To not know history is to not know the fibers that wove you into being.

We are more powerful than we often realize. Things can happen all around us, but it is ourselves who decide if those vibrations get to hum within. Every choice we make, action we take, and word we speak, write, or read either continues the chaos or breaks free from it.

Where do you go when your soul needs peace? I turn to my yard. From dirt to a wildlife haven, this is what ten years of hard work looks like. I find courage in knowing that other sorts of very hard things could become a thing of beauty if we all work hard enough for it.

Sometimes you are just going through your day like normal and something announces that just knocks you sideways and leaves you seriously considering the possibility that we did change timelines. I'm so confused and yet very clear at the same time.

Do you ever feel like you're standing in the center of the storm? Inside of you is a disconnect, a calm that shouldn't exist when the world is spinning faster carrying bits and fragments, pieces and things that used to make sense. So anyway, that Ancestry release! Great stuff!

I'm anxiously awaiting the Ancestry update! Who's excited? Me!

Imagine being so afraid of the future that you grip the past so tight you end up causing damage to yourself and others.

I am tired and sad but tomorrow can be better. And if not tomorrow, then the next day or the one after that. I will never give up on the hope and dream that the future will be better and brighter than the now.

The sound of rain after too long of a dry spell feels peaceful and hopeful for the future world.

I sit and wait for traffic lights to turn green from the comfort of my living room. Me, as I watch the little van drive around on the map telling me how many more stops until it's my delivery turn. 🤣

It's fall bulb planting time in the PNW. Working on tulip and hyacinth. Apparently, I'm allergic to one or both of those. Handling the bulbs and now I have broken out in an itchy rash causing my husband to take over and me to go back inside. Oh darn, I can't help. Dang it. 🤣

I'm an extremely positive person. I can find a positive in just about anything. So, I'm sitting here with a bad cold, and my positive brain is focused on the inability to follow and process any of the news. It's like a mini vacation. 🤣 Also, very happy I live in the lotion tissues era. So nice!

Awhile back I made a bunch of soups and had them stacked in the freezer in plastic containers. I just opened the freezer and two of them fell out and broke. 😢

I missed getting my oldest settled in for his second year of college because of a norovirus. Haven't been this sick in a while. Boo

If life feels heavy, if you are overwhelmed, if surviving each day is the main goal, you are not alone. Our minds and bodies are not equipped to handle this much all at once.

There is good to be seen all around, we just have to want to see it.

That I'm not sure on yet. I have a couple of friends in the midst of this process too and have begun conversations with them to figure out which doctor I'll try next.

Thank you. I'm struggling through peri, and I think I need a new doctor. All they are offering is a hysterectomy or birth control pills.

I love my husband. LOL He doesn't understand hot flashes, but after about the third time of me throwing the covers off last night, he felt my skin to confirm I was very hot and proceeded to blow on me to attempt to cool me down. 🤣 I'm not soup, but it did feel nice.
