An Artfight card for this year's Artfight event. I attack whoever catches my eye, just about anyone, and I do Friendly Fires and Revenges! I might not be able to get through every revenge, it depends on the amount of attacks I get. But I will be sure to do plenty of attacks! I want to do at least one a day.

A full body doodle of a character, dressed in a purple suit. Red ribbons wrap around his body, outstretched from a cartoony skull-shaped mask. Teal flames sprout at his feet, and three ghostly flames orbit him. Flame-like antlers of similar color appear almost like a crown of flaming thorns above his head. He seems curious. Artist commentary---------- During some later portion of The Blacklight AU, William ends up with this enchanted (or cursed?) mask. Unbeknownst to him, it's an imprisoned celestial being by the name of Mori. Recently, in an interaction between characters, Mori figured out he could possess William without killing him, due to William's immortality.

Description: two men, one a larger bearded man with square glasses and soft brown hair with grey streaks and a pink stripe. The other, a pale and rather pointy figure with rabbit ears and jagged black hair, and visible scars creating intricate patterns on his body. Both are holding mugs with floral patterns; Henry (the larger man) has a purple hycinth on his cup. William (to the right) has a dark red carnation on his cup. Henry has a noticeable bite mark and bruising at his neck (presumably a hickey). William is clearly flustered and averts his gaze in embarrassment. Artist commentary------ I spent a concerning amount of time on the background for this scene for it to not be seen well. I drew it on a different canvas of the same dimensions, because I was feeling lazy(? Honestly don't know why, I just wanted to see if I could I guess). Then I put them together aaaand it wasn't to the size I needed it. So I had to really wiggle it in there and do some work with the blending brush. In the end, I just put them together and chopped off a little of the canvas' top. I chose these flowers for their meanings btw in case anyone's curious. I really don't like drawing hands. I can never decide if I want to do four fingers (stylization) or five. I typically do four, but some hand positions make it look really awkward. This is likely due to lack of experience, and I'll have to do some practice and study to get it right.

A simple, common, but effective shitpost: two men and a ghostly girl. One is in a tux, the other man in a wedding gown. The ghost girl is laughing at them playfully, knowing the one in the dress is slightly embarrassed. "Not a word, Cassidy." he says Artist commentary------ This was a joke doodle I put way too much time into. I actually looked into what wedding dresses looked like in the 80's and took some inspo while also adding a little extra to it. I gotta give a round of applause to those who make these dresses, there is so much detail put into them. Yes, I put a bow on his tail. No, I will not apologize, he looks wonderful.

My AU doesn't really focus on "shipping" as much as overcoming personal struggles, but relationships and bonds are still important topics to the story I'm trying to tell. Besides, I get a good laugh out of the accidental sexual tension between William and Henry anyway.

Blacklight AU design for the character Ennard from FNAF Artist commentary----- Ennard actually has like four refs (five if you count Molten Freddy). The reason why is because they change and evolve the most throughout the AU. This one shows them at their most basic of components, in the very beginning. This model of animatronic were designed on a endo frame (consisting of a skeletal frame, joints, the basic electrical stuff) and built up with more advanced components and thick metal wires. Then finally finished of with a metal plated "shell". Ennard, in this AU, was the first to be built like this. After being scrapped, they were left a bare endoskeleton with these wires. Not much remains of what they once were. The eyes of the other animatronics lack function, in this case. They are more like trophies or reminders. Ennard's left eye malfunctions, and always has issues. As shown in the other image, they eventually grow tired of their faulty eye and rip it out.

Blacklight AU design of Ennard, during their post-resurrection arc Artist commentary------ I went the "animatronic with awareness" route, rather than relying on spirits and stuff. Since, in this AU, the souls have all moved on. What's left is the advanced programming, an animatronic that learns and mimics living beings in attempt to blend in. Ennard's got a whole "become human" thing going on. Trying to craft an identity for themself out of what they learn through observation and mimicking. The beginning of this AU starts with Ennard and Michael, and a very flimsy truce built on threats. They don't trust eachother completely, understandably. But they have their moments. I'd like to point out the common pattern between Henry, William, and Ennard as far as a certain outfit. For Henry and William, they coordinate as a sort of "player 1 and player 2". Ennard, however, takes this concept and does what they do best: pretend. I'd almost think of Sonic and Metal Sonic maybe. They grow out of this.... eventually...

Another chapter of Blacklight AU posted today on Ao3, design showtime!

Ennard is one of my favorite characters out of all of FNAF, and they were one of the characters that got me to start drawing in the first place!

They were the first to get a ref, so these are a bit older. Still accurate though!

Depicted here is a design refrence sheet for an alternate universe of the FNAF character: William Afton He is a man with almost sickly pale skin, black hair, and many intricate scars patterning his body (most noticeably the scars around his neck). Despite appearing mostly human, he is shown to have long rabbit ears and matching tail. His hair is long, and tied back with a red ribbon. There are three outfits shown: one for work, a secondary outfits labeled "Arcade Mode Comics", and a third casual outfit. This is a skull-shaped mask with multiple red ribbons shown beside him, and when worn, cause markings to appear on his ears and antlers to hover just above his head in a ghostly "halo" manner. Commentary: AU William's primary character arc is a sort of Sisyphus-style redemption arc. Why did I give him rabbit features? Because, in this universe, a soul is warped by death to exhibit physical reminders of the prior life and how they may have died. William has a strong connection to rabbits, hence the features. This makes him stick out among the living, more so than he usually would, and also reflects anxiety and paranoia (something he suffers from). Rabbits also have a strong correlation with death! In the Twin Hare Formation Multiverse, this is more true than you could imagine. Henry shows these reminders as well, mainly his burn scars. I wanted to really lean into the idea that Michael looks a lot like his father. So, if you were to put AU Michael's ref next to AU William's ref, I'm sure you could find many similarities! Blacklight AU William's skull mask is a story that will be explored soon... As a sort of exaggerated visual, and also for certain storytelling reasons, I wanted to make his eyes change with intense emotion. In a sense, they become more vibrant and even give off a faint glow! There is a supernatural reason behind this, which will be explained later on :D

William is probably one of my favorite characters of the AU, besides Ennard.

Blacklight AU Henry! He's an older, large, bearded gentleman with green eyes and soft brown hair. He wears square glasses to help with his farsightedness. On the right side of his body he has old burn scars, and his left leg has the intricate patterning of springlock scars. Among greying hairs, he has a pink stripe in his hair, which is supernatural in origin. This AU's Henry is kind, and caring to the point it's a fault. He likes to see the good in everyone, even in their darkest time. This AU's William, however, really tries his patience.

With the release of the Prologue and Chapter 1 of Blacklight AU on Ao3, I'm going to continue sharing AU designs. Today we have AU Henry.

Shown is the Blacklight AU Michael Afton refrence sheet. Depicted are three full body drawings of a young man with pale skin and brown hair. His skin has purple discolored splotches and scars. The first full body shows how Michael looks in the beginning of the Alternate Universe, and the second and third show how he looks like during the "Superstar DLC": an extended version of the original AU made to fit Security Breach into the original story. This is a very VERY divergent FNAF AU. I recommend reading the summary on Ao3 (or the story, chapters released every Saturday) if you're curious about what this AU is :D Yes, other characters also have AU designs, I will be posting them over the next days (probably). The main characters focused on in the AU are William, Henry, Michael, and Ennard!

Human and animal bones litter the ground of a forested setting, the moon full and luminescent in the starry sky. Among some dead trees, the center of the piece, is Quincy (a colorful cryptid creature, with a mix of mothman and rabbit attributes). Their tattered and torn up wings seem to give off an ominous glow, the same as their eye as they stare out (towards the onlooker). Around them appear glowing whispy objects, perhaps souls or some kind of paranormal anomaly.

The prompt for day 8 was Woods. Fun fact: Quincy is naturally drawn to paranormal anomalies and spirits. Something just draws them to places of death, calling to them like a siren among a stormy sea.

Sorry this one was even more delayed than the rest (it's already the 11th???) I needed a little break after the last two. Playground took it outta me man... But anyways, the prompt was Vultures! Here's what I got!

Commentary: Definitely could have been better, and taken deeper inspiration from the materials and style I was thinking about, but I'm a little bit behind and now it's starting to bug me. Maybe I'll give it a second attempt in the future? Grab some refrences of the style and better understand the color chemistry and stuff. That could be fun! I personally have never had any interest in partaking in any substance, not even alcohol, but I like learning about how people are effected by it and what they experience. The mind and our perception of reality is so interesting and I love learning about it.

"Like Daughter, Like Father"

Hey fun fact about me: I've been a huge fan of Five Nights at Freddy's since the first game. It was love at first jumpscare. Since then, I have been inspired to create both in art and writing. So, here's a piece from my FNAF AU: The Blacklight AU

I made a doodle for myself for the upcoming said birthday of mine, as well as Christmas. It's rough and lazy, but that's alright, not every piece has to be a masterpiece

Here's some doodle characters I came up with randomly. They're somewhat based on the rubberhose style. I think I'll work on fleshing them out a bit more tomorrow

This is my little guy Cobby! Shhh, he's taking a lil nap on a rock

An anthropomorphised gold fish swimming through semi-murky water (possibly in a mangrove swamp or freshwater lake). Golden sunlight beams down into the water past tree branches, Illuminating the water, and giving the fish's scales that namesake golden shimmer. They seem to be swimming to surface in curiosity or wonder of what lays beyond the water's ceiling.

Here's my little fish bean! They are an anthropomorphised goldfish, and their name is Fishsticks. Fitting, isn't it? Maybe a tad cruel if you think about it too much haha-

This piece was made for a fun style test, based on storybooks and fantasy art styles.

A halfbody illustration of my character Quincy: a clown-themed creature, a sort of strange mix between a moth and a rabbit. A clown-moth-rabbit-cryptid! Quincy's holding a mug of tea, but the tea is a little crazy looking, floating into the air, and made up of pastel colors. Why? Idk, maybe it has magic in it or something. On their lap is a tablet, because just like me, Quincy loves to draw! There's a spotlight on Quincy's face, driving focus to there like a poster advertising for some kind of gameshow.
