I do tend to do little discussion work because I find it incredibly difficult to manage the off-task talk that always starts creeping in. I don't stop a student helping someone else, unless I'm talking to the class as a whole then I'll ask them to wait a minute.

Both! Mostly staff.

Key vocab! How do you deal with? We have a 'unit vocabulary' sheet that students glue into books and fill in as we go- feels clunky. As a school, we 'drill' vocab every lesson (choral response). How do we teach efficient methods? I have students who automatically go to bus stop for any division, including times table inverses e.g. I had a girl today use bus stop for 24 ÷ 12

Of course. I suppose which ones will be the biggest bang for their buck? We don't have sufficient tech in school to use interactive ones.
