I've updated my document that tackles four of the common arguments used to encourage teachers to use AI.

I hope this will be helpful to those educators wanting to push back on AI mania.

The thing that bothers me so much is not the “we have to enforce our borders and laws.” We do.

It’s the giddy joy and celebration they have at the misery of people far less fortunate.

My 6th grader's school, for ex, uses Chromebooks for everything. But the kids haven't learned typing, so work takes longer than by hand. And they often forget to charge the devices at home, so class gets wasted trying to plug in.

The Supreme Court bans affirmative action in university admissions but is okay with racial profiling on American streets. That pretty much sums up white supremacy--heads I win, tails you lose, all legal.

This is really important. As with so many other things, the solution can't be robustly funded public higher education, because that would benefit *others* too (see Heather McGhee’s The Sum of Us). so the answer has to lie in the fact that *too many* people are getting education

You can tolerate a low national bar for education etc. as long as your kid is getting “the best” of it, and is most likely to get into the school that gives them the “best” chances. Think how different that is than fighting for better, more affordable schools for everyone
