English Indices of Deprivation 2025 (IoD25) and Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD25) are published today. This is an update in the series, following on from the 2019 #deprivation indices.

Victims can be neighbours, or even birds and bees. Either way noone and no thing can ever be hurt or matter how big the collective benefit.
This is brilliant - and original.

My bet is they hoped nobody will bother to read so much paperwork.
All the talk of 'supply' seems to envisage a world in which all 'consumers' somehow have equal buying power. (Hence the weird comparisons to loaves of bread.)

MARTIN LUTHER (1483 - 1546) "On Trading and Usury" "The merchants... say: I may sell my goods as dear as I can ... Now what good is there in trade? How can it be without sin when such injustice is the chief maxim and the rule of the whole business? On this basis trade can be nothing else than robbing and stealing other people's property."
Martin Luther, a #Lutheran, says trade should be in a caring community. Selling as dear as you can is just theft.
Would you tolerate $100 hot dogs at church social / VBS? If that seems unkind, then you can see Lutherβs ethic.
How can you avoid stealing other peopleβs property?

Putting burdens on developers is a secret way of transferring wealth from new households to existing land and property owners. A nasty trick which has been played since about 1990.

Rail station car parking: it seems that either Network Rail, or the regulator, has rules against reducing private car parking spaces at rail stations. In Oxford, we have a half-empty car park on prime real estate. We'd like to use it for other things. See below campaign. (1/2)
