How I wish all the nature photographer I followed on twitter to start posting elsewhere (here, especially) so I could abandon that stinky site and be happy scrolling through nature photos
Until then

It's already october, I'm not gonna draw spooky stuff but I'll make wholesome drawings instead, so for the first day give your gorgons some pats, smooch, and scritches.

Origami pseudoscorpion designed by me in 2011.
Uses a grid of 48 by 48 divisions per square edge.
Very happy with how this one turned out, if I ever make another one, I think I'd try a specific taxon rather than just approximating the overall shape.

Another origami pseudoscorpion, designed by me in 2011.
This is just an upscaled variation on the previous model, the layout is much the same, only made to fit a larger grid of 56 by 56 units per square edge.
I think I prefer the original version though, in part due to the execution of the folding. This one is bigger and as a result heavier and the legs don't look like they support the body of the animal in any way.
I'm just posting this here to show the detail of the chelicerae, which were not visible in the previous image (the model had its butt pointed towards the camera, but the chelicerae are present in that model too).

Origami scorpion designed by me in 2020, based on a 36 by 36 unit grid.
This model in particular feels like a successful proof of concept that choosing a grid of more divisions can lead to improvements in the overall appearance of the finished model.
Look at the 32 grid scorpions I posted earlier this week for comparison.

And finally, another of my origami scorpions, still following the same sort of layout, but upscaled to fit a 48 by 48 unit grid.
Designed in 2020.

            Another #InverteFest post!
And this time... It's scorpin' time!
A collection of my pseudoscorpion and scorpion iterations in origami form.
Relatively straightforward structures at play here, but I wanted to add these creatures to my bestiary.
As always, one square for each, folding only, no cutting.
