Did you know❓ Cycle lanes account for just 0.2% of the current road infrastructure.

It’s time to demand safer streets that put the health & safety of pedestrians & cyclists first πŸ‘‰ bit.ly/4jPzXsa #RoadSafety #StreetsforLife

Wer sind "the best and the brightest"? It’s incredible to think that just 30 years ago there were 3.5 million cases of #GuineaWorm disease globally every year.

In each of the last four years, there have been 15 cases or less. We are on the brink of an historic achievement.

While I generally agree with you, as is often the case, it's not that simple. Mosquitoes are not only a nuisance problem, but also highly effective transmitters of diseases, e.g., malaria, dengue fever, lymphatic filariasis, to name but a few.

Nevertheless, this is an important point to consider.

#PubMed now back for me, but the damage is done. When you suddenly realise you maybe can’t rely on something you absolutely need to rely on, that’s when you start to look for alternatives. And that’s happening over & over again with anything USA-related right now 😒

Europe PMCHome - Europe PMC Europe PMC is an archive of life sciences journal literature.

But: We need safe, decentralized long-term alternatives to avoid these disruptions in the future. In the meantime, #EuropePMC (europepmc.org) is a solid alternative for accessing much of PubMed’s content and more. πŸ” #OpenScience #PubMed #PMC #NIH #AcademicSky

Set up 1.1.1.1 on Windows Β· Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 docs Take note of any DNS addresses you might have set up, and save them in a safe place in case you need to use them later.

For now: The servers are still up, and access is gradually returning. If you're still locked out, you can speed up the process by switching to e.g., Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) - or just wait it out. It worked for me following this protocol: developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/setu...

Apparently it's a temporary DNS issue. Whether you can access the sites depends on your ISP’s caching DNS server, which explains why some people can reach them while others still can't (πŸ™‹πŸΌ).

This is not meant as encouragement to do another PhD but I feel like it's important to mention that a PhD in other countries doesn't necessarily include grad school. E.g. in Germany, grad schools are less common than the "individual doctorate". www.research-in-germany.org/en/your-goal...

I'm not a clinician, but I agree it’s a challenge, especially in severe cases. My focus was more on highlighting that antibiotics don’t work against viral infections, rather than on decisions in hospitalized patients.
