It's hard to ignore it. We shouldn't ignore it. But if you speak out you know the risks you're taking. Probably a quiet word to a steward.

OUFC Oxford United season ticket holder, North Stand, played school footy with Joey is my claim to fame!

29.08.2025 06:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Every single aspect of him, down to the tiniest detail, is precisely calculated to annoy normal people.
08.07.2025 15:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If Iran feel they have to retaliate to save face, better to have it done in a controlled, minimal way that minimises the chance of casualties. Sounds bonkers, but ultimately Iran didn't want to risk further US strikes, and Trump couldn't afford any casualties which would further divide his base.
26.06.2025 20:16 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Both sides know exactly what they are doing. If you don't know who the patsy is, it's you Mr Trump.
24.06.2025 12:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If he somehow broke UK sanctions, that would be a different matter. But given Indonesia can trade with whomever they want, I struggle to see this becoming a problem. All that said, I'm gutted we have an owner who sees no problem working with Russia (and indirectly supporting their war on Ukraine) π
22.06.2025 10:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Indonesia can trade with whomever they like. Disillusionment with the US is behind this, withdrawing from the world and slapping tariffs everywhere. Nations are looking to build new trade relationships. I agree there's a moral issue from our perspective, but I'm not sure there's any legal issue.

All of these are Tory, I notice.
Radical action? So there's this giant free market right next to the UK that we're not a member of...
30.05.2025 14:52 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@youaremyoxfordpod.bsky.social Just got round to listening to the Paul Moody interview. Really great stuff, I've never really heard him speak like that before, so it's great to put a personality to the name, kind of fills out your understanding of him as a footballer and as a person. Thanks so much.

28.04.2025 09:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So you're saying whenever the year ends in 6 we either get promoted, relegated or win a major trophy? π³
27.04.2025 15:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That was indeed a tremendous goal. Might be slightly forgotten as we went on to lose, and Harris might rue scoring his goals at the start rather than the end of the season
27.04.2025 10:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yesterday's show was even worse, it seems to me the rest of the panel see it as well.

17.03.2025 15:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The problem everyone faces is that Trump tends to agree with the last person he sees. You might think you have a way forward, then suddenly you don't.
02.03.2025 18:07 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This wasn't about Trump
01.03.2025 22:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's two poor performances in a row, and time for some changes. Romeny looks pretty good, actually. Hard to see how Harris has been keeping him out #oufc
15.02.2025 16:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Who knows, maybe the board themselves regret it, maybe they don't. Maybe they've learnt something from it. But we all have the benefit of hindsight now. I don't know what picture the board were faced with back then, so I find it difficult to criticise them.
12.02.2025 12:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We don't know the details of the negotiations on the oufc side, or the Pompey side. We don't know what contract he signed. We don't know his personal preferences or those of his family, or his agent. We have the benefit of hindsight, even though we don't know how he'd have performed at Oxford.
12.02.2025 09:00 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Don't know. In a knee brace apparently but that could be standard for any knee concern

11.02.2025 19:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Derby look like they will go down so I would hate to help them out. If I had to choose one to lose to, it would be Pompey, as painful as that experience would be, but at least they've had a couple of decent results this year, whereas a loss to a really poor Derby side could harm team confidence.
