We will keep moving forward. Our communities are resilient, and we will continue to advocate for our rights and for the care that we need, in Minnesota and beyond. Our care to all who are affected by this decision.
18.06.2025 15:27 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Todayβs decision solidifies a fraught patchwork of care access across this country and cruelly denies many families the right to make health care decisions with the expert care providers based solely on where they live.
18.06.2025 15:27 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0OutFront Minnesota is deeply disappointed by todayβs 6-3 ruling by the Supreme Court in the Skrmetti case, which erodes the Equal Protections Clause and upholds a harmful ban on gender affirming care.
18.06.2025 15:27 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0We stand with all those affected by these and other threats of harm.
We call on our communities and all those across Minnesota to stand together in this moment, to reject violence, and to look out for one another and for those who serve our communities.
We understand that many other elected officials along with reproductive healthcare providers were among others named as targets. We hope this arrest brings a measure of relief.
Acts of violence like these can affect all of us and we encourage those who need them to seek out supportive resources.
While we await specific details from this investigation, we know that politically motivated threats of violence towards elected officials, healthcare providers, and civic institutions & organizations are all too prevalent.
16.06.2025 04:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Our communities know the impact of these actions all too well, only a few weeks ago we honored Harvey Milkβs birthday. His assassination along with San Francisco Mayor George Moscone in 1978 is forever part of our history.

OutFront Minnesota condemns these acts in the strongest of terms - violence has no place in our political process or civic life.
Our communities join all Minnesotans in mourning the loss of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark; and we hold in our care Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette as they continue their recoveries along with all of their loved ones.

Tonight, a suspect is in custody in the wake of horrific acts of violence targeting lawmakers over the weekend. As Pride Month begins, Iβm proud to continue the work of making Minnesota a place where our LGBTQ+ and Two Spirit neighbors are seen, valued, and free to live as their authentic selves.

Happy Pride Month, Minnesota!
It is important to remember that this bill is not yet law. We can still prevent these life-threatening provisions from being passed. Now is the time for us to speak out.
Reach out to your Senators and urge them to oppose this harmful bill as it continues to move forward:
Among the amendments added to the bill was a ban on the use of all federal Medicaid dollars for medical gender-affirming care including surgeries, puberty blockers, and hormones. This ban would apply to individuals of all ages, adults and youth alike.
OutFront opposes this harmful bill.
The US House passed its budget reconciliation package early this morning on a 215-214 vote with only Republicans supporting the measureβincluding cuts from Medicaid and other social services programsβpotentially resulting in the loss of federal support for hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans.
22.05.2025 19:26 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0President Trump and his administration are coming after Minnesota, threatening to cut off our federal funding unless we turn our backs on trans kids. This is bullying, plain and simple.
And today, April 22, I filed a lawsuit to stop them.

11.03.2025 02:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs another sports ban, but more troubling, itβs an attempt to begin carving out decades-old protections for all Minnesotans.
The inclusive protections of the Minnesota Human Rights Act have offered critical protections to LGBTQ+ Minnesotans since 1993. That is a record we should all be proud of.
Last week, HF 12βa ban on the full participation of trans athletesβfailed to pass the House. This week, lawmakers are bringing forward another harmful bill, HF 1233. This bill seeks to create an exemption to the Minnesota Human Rights Act allowing for discrimination in athletics.

And we all deserve to be ourselves free from scrutiny, bullying, and harassment.
Thatβs the promise weβve made in Minnesota.
And itβs a promise weβll work to keep.
Let kids play.
We rallied and celebrated for inclusion! And thank you to all those who reached out to their representatives ahead of this important vote. Your voices mattered.
We are grateful to the many lawmakers who stood up and spoke proudly in defense of our communities.
Weβll keep showing up.
Today, Minnesotans showed up.
HF 12 - a bill seeking to limit the full participation of trans kids in sports - failed to secure the 68 votes needed and did not pass in the Minnesota House.
Itβs a win for all of us who believe in inclusion!
Thank you to everyone who showed up today!

Last night, in response to my lawsuit, a federal judge blocked Trump's illegal Executive Orders targeting gender-affirming care from taking effect in MN.
It is unlawful and immoral for Trump to use the federal government to target trans kids just trying to be themselves. I will not stand for it.
