A drawing of a tiny deer-like creature known as a sycafawn. It has a large set of horns that resemble sycamore seeds. Its entire body is covered in leaf-like structures that are green, yellow and pale orange in colour.

Doodled up a little #Flowerpunk species, the sycafawn!

One of the tiniest members of the unguligrowth group of magical creatures, they reach a height of just a few inches. They live in and around sycamore trees as the name suggests, disguising themselves as seeds.

Her shoes. Inspired by a social media post that seemed like an innocuous fit check but the light under the doorway in her photo creeped me out. When I painted it, I wanted it to seem ambiguous, odd, and surreal like a half-remembered dream.

I really love this! I wouldn't think these colors and shapes would go together but you put them together perfectly. I could stare at it for a long time!

Green heron looks like it's marking down the trunk of a fallen tree to give somebody a piece of its mind. It's dark blue-green crest is in fully deployed punky mohawk mode.

“Opinionated Seagull”

Wow this is incredible!

“Togetherness” A work of geometric, expressive art. Ink on a paper board edged in gold. Five elongated, black-line figures — like hard-edged brush strokes — with similarly elongated lines (arms) cutting across them. Large circles form the heads, and small circles form the hands. The two tall figure's circles are red and yellow, respectively, while the others are green, purple, and blue. All are edged with gold.

I said yesterday that I had posted all of the “gesture series” (I make lines that speak to me of a particular gesture or moment and then I create the characters around them) ink paintings that I had — but then I made another one.

My first foray into learning pen and ink, using a crow quill nib and three different techniques (described in alt text) to illustrate the rare native fawn lily I found on Vancouver Island. I need plenty more practice to control the flow of ink.
