I’ve heard that you can fool the birds by growing pink blueberries. Can not confirm as I’ve yet to successfully keep a blueberry bush of any kind alive.

I made the young ones watch it on Friday. Youngest has had the movie on repeat every day since! I am not complaining.

Took the dogs out for an early morning walk and watched a sun scorpion walk into the garage. I tried to catch it, and narrowly avoided being dragged off by a 70lb fur baby when another dog walked by.

So far that’s one of the few southwest critters I’ve not seen around the house since moving to TX 6 yrs ago. That’s a good thing, because the young ones are still in full curiosity mode.

Hmm, lived under a hill, prefer to be barefoot, enjoy second breakfast, have walked long distances. There is a high likelihood.

First day of summer break. Time to water the dog.

I grew up in the Midwest and in an underground house. We had a dehumidifier year round and wood burning stove for winter.

We have rose bushes in front of the house, and it brings me so much joy watching leaf cutter bees flip upside down to cut half moons from the leaves.

They are fun to watch in the wild. We have several prairie dog fields in the middle of town and enjoy spotting them from the car.

This summer I pulled a muscle in my right leg driving a rental car. It took me 6 months to mostly recover, and I learned I can’t take a full dose of muscle relaxers.

There are people who don’t sniff their fruits and veggies?

The oldest of the four footed overlords would like the food bowl refilled.

Hopefully the repair people will be able to fully fix my microwave tomorrow, which would mean my oven will be usable again. Just in time to catch up on all the holiday baking.

I have ordered a new cat tree with an integrated food bowl. I’m hoping it will work to keep the cat food out of dog reach and I can stop stepping out of the shower and onto cat food shards.

When we got married I invited my whole family, my husband invited his mother’s Filipino friends, and everyone he worked with. We had 300 people and nearly shut down a USPS hub in the Chicago suburbs for the night.

Creature 3’s laundry included glitter. Now all the creatures have glitter!

The morning commute was disrupted by a random porcupine.

30 seconds before this picture the big dog tripped onto the roomba. 10 seconds after, the roomba charged the middle dog. The war between robots and pets has begun!

Sometimes you just have to take a moment to cuddle with a fur/purr factory.

Neighbor: You’ve got a lot of birds hanging out under your solar panels, and they’re loud.
Me: I know, right? It’s so neat hearing them skitter across the roof when I’m laying quietly in my bed.

Woke up to find Gretchen frozen in the hallway. She only worked for 17 minutes. Time to order a new battery.
