Heading back to Toronto today after decamping to Montreal for the week for a change of scenery.

Montreal's got a special kinda energy. This is a city that knows how to live in its spaces, big or small. Streets, parks, sidewalks, all those tiny balconies. Everything bursts here, in a good way.

A tradition I literally just learned about in my family is that when you turn 40 your name & birth date are embroidered on this ancient Canucks jersey that is 43 yrs old (!) so just got it from my mom today & it's probably the only time I will wear a real sports jersey.

I had the pleasure recently of drawing a portrait of the Lieutenant Governor Of Ontario, Her Honour the Honourable Edith Dumont. She took the time to show me around the gorgeous building (including the incredible art collection she curated) & sit down with me for a chat. Such a special experience.
