I’ve used the example before, but did Germany and the international community let Hitler pardon the nazis? At what point do we as a nation say, no, that’s not what that was intended for? We are voiding your pardons of criminals.

Pardons need to cease to exist. This is a horrific abuse of that power. But let’s be honest—it’s been misused before.

I’d also be interested in hearing from legal experts if any of the pardons can be undone, when they’re ordered by a criminal president to blatantly free other criminals.

Admiral Fall Guy should go down for this, and anyone else involved. But Hegseth isn’t escaping this one. Some day, we will see him in shackles and an orange jump suit. Evil bastard.

Someone should create an account post-Trump that just posts every day a list of the companies and individuals who supported or kissed up to Trump. And then we all should follow that account. They all should face consequences for years…no, decades after he’s gone.

Seriously, Dems should just introduce an impeachment resolution. Hold fcking hearings. Who cares if it doesn't get out of committee?

Totally, totally agree. There HAS to be investigations and consequences for this administration’s illegal actions, once it’s over. Or we’ll be back in the same boat again soon. It’s got to be priority #1. If these people don’t go to prison for so blatantly violating our laws, again and again…

It’s worse than bullshit. He’s shown again and again, if you have money and power, he values you (and bonus points if you’re also an evil bastard).

If you don’t have money and power, you’re nothing to him. Which of course, makes his MAGA supporters even bigger fools.

That makes me happy.

And we can fight with MAGA over Bondi. She clearly should be investigated and go to prison. She targeted political opponents of Trump who did nothing wrong, among other illegal actions.

Bottom line, to me: Trump will be successfully impeached, and Trump officials will be investigated, and go to prison for their illegal actions.

(But it only happens if people stay involved, and keep pressuring our leaders. Keep speaking up. Public anger is powerful!)

And people talk about pardons (again, usually cynically). I think there will be a legitimate debate post-Trump on pardons. Hitler couldn’t pardon all the Nazis. Do we, as a nation, let Trump pardon a bunch of people involved in crimes with him? It’d be the worst abuse of pardon power in history.

Then, investigations. And to me, many of the Trump admin’s actions have been blatantly illegal. Watergate-level or worse, every single day.

My prediction: Trump is impeached, after the midterms at the latest. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened sooner. Republicans see the writing on the wall. Trump is massively unpopular, and people are angry. If the GOP stays on Trump’s side, they’ll go down with him. MTG is only the beginning.

While I get the sentiment, all of the cynical comments on every issue get pretty maddening. For example, someone points out Hegseth’s illegal actions. Someone else goes, so? He’ll never be held accountable.

Call me an optimist (I’m not, trust me), but I think Trump officials will go to prison.

Stop saying, "They'll never impeach him." Low expectations grant them permission to continue to do nothing. (Which is a relief to them.)

Demand integrity. Expect better of them. Require them to do their jobs and honor the oaths they swore.

The White House says their peace plan didn’t come from Russia — the problem is it reads like Putin’s wishlist. We need a deal to end the war that actually protects Ukraine and doesn’t reward the war criminal who started this.

My only hope is that Ukraine can hold on, until either the European peace initiative gets traction, or Trump is impeached. Ukraine deserves better, and the U.S. is compromised right now. It would be criminal if Putin and Trump forced Ukraine into losing territory, or worse.
