As energy demand for Datacentres increase due to AI, how are they looking at the cooling aspect? We were used to 5kW racks in the past, now it’s 30-50Kw per rack and that ain’t easy to air-cool.

Great read and agree with the final thoughts. As much as I dislike UTMB for their dynamic entry pricing, they have the aid station limits set to even out the playing field as much as possible.

IXPs need to be included as “critical infrastructure” to reinforce the Internet itself. The facilities made the Internet succeed in the first place.

AI is generating so much data that in order to store, DCs are becoming DC clusters. This will drive a new range of low latency low distance optics.

This is another great episode to listen to. There are 3x key points to review from a business perspective:
1. We are not 100% clear what quantum computing can do yet.
2. "Harvest now, decrypt later" is real and how to defend it
3. Crypto collaboration, competition, and community is key to success.
