Yeah, I had someone get mad at me because I told them during a conversation about crushes and boundaries (they were baiting me to get jealous) that if they wanted others to tell me and let me meet them and I had no issue. Apparently that was me 'condoning cheating' and 'not trusting them'

See I am kinda in that camp, if you tell me about it and I at the least get along enough to be friends with them then there is no problem. If you sneak around about it though there will be. Of course I have only ever had one semi-successful relationship in my life and only 3 total soo

It's also important to have characters of minorities actually portayed by a member of that minority so that the representation is legit and faithful rather than a characiture of the way things are. Eventhe best meaning actors/actresses that take on those roles who are not part of the community-

Yeah, I have self confidence issues a mile wide so I tend to always think the problem is me and my fault. Plus I struggle to think I deserve to set boundaries let alone defend them. Needless to say I get walked all over often...part of the reason I'm scared to put myself out there

I wish there was a way to get people to be more understanding and tolerant of those different than them. It would solve so many issues. Then again I am pacifist and an idealist according to most
