Also, if you read the first 3 books years ago when they came out, reread them before you read Absolution. And maybe read them again afterward. In particular, Authority had much deeper meaning to me in the context of what I learned in Absolution.

This is the Tadpole Nebula, a star-forming region in the constellation Auriga. The "tadpoles" are the pink structures at the 2 o-clock position. The "heads" of the tadpoles each have a young hot star lighting up the surrounding gas cloud. Taken from my back yard a couple weeks ago. #astronomy
