My main take aways from last night's 1999 #totp episode:
1. Glad I never went in for the skirt over trousers look
2. Martine McCutcheon had a beautiful voice, face, & figure. Why were we led to believe she was chunky at the time? She wasn't! & the song is a classic
3. 90s eyebrows for the win.
The joy I felt watching the boy loving The Sooty Show today was tinged with sadness that my mam, who loved Sooty from her childhood through my childhood and then her other grandkids childhood didn't get to be there #grief

Running a country well is an impossibly difficult job. You need intelligence, economic literacy, the ability to inspire and the humility to listen. Nobody truly gets it right, and most are considered failures.
