I see what you mean!! Reading it back, I said it kind of weird. Historical events: no. Those happened how they did, you can't change them. But historical stories and tales like in myths and folklore: yes. The Odyssey AND epic are BOTH fiction.

That being said, not everyone listening to Epic the Musical or reading Percy Jackson are doing it for literary analysis of the myths they're based on. These retellings are meant to be fun and easy to digest, not academic. They inspire people to delve deeper into the topic, but aren't meant as fact.

I love this! History is a living, changing being! There is no "true" telling. Stories like this changed from person to person when they were told orally or through performance, and changed further through writing and translation. We are always adding and molding history through our own retellings!!

It took a lot of hard thinking and deliberation, but I finally finished my Epic the Musical song tier list. I will also die on this hill.
