Hi all, I wrote a blogpost about long-tailed tits. Their tails are literally longer than their body, and I wrote about recently learning that long-tailed tit extended families help each other with raising the young.

Rob @robcrank68.bsky.social has decided that today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #DucksOnOneLeg and the Alternative is #Finches. Iβm going with Finches as I really love Goldfinches. Hereβs one giving me a healthy dose of side eye. #birds #photography #EastCoastKin

Hi all, I wrote a blogpost about fox hunting, why I hate it and, how, hopefully, it will soon be banned in Ireland.

Hi all, I wrote a blogpost about the Titanic, where I argue that the sinking wasn't due to hubris as many people think, but rather was down to unforeseeable circumstances.

Choughs are one of my favourites. If someone told me I could only see ten birds for the rest of my life I think choughs would be one of them. And yes, I don't think I could narrow it down to less than ten.π
30.11.2025 19:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Had almost no late season migrants last weekend, but a flock of around 8 Chough showed well, in poor light, as they fed without much concern on a sand cliff at Garrettstown.
