Season. I meant season. (I'm hoping this is good news for Chicago, and gives folks time to take a breath and better organize, but I know it's bad news for the warmer climes they're heading to next.)

The GOP response to the shutdown was: You're gonna cave, or we're going to hurt vulnerable people by shutting off SNAP. The Dems, unwilling to let that happen, caved.

Having watched that, the GOP is now saying: "Give us what we want on abortion or ..."

We got our first dusting of snow for the evening, it's not even particularly cold yet, but looks like they can't handle it.

Responder 1 says, in short, they're surprised how boring Chicagoans' response has been to ICE in the city, and they think the response should be a party with dance music and disco balls. Responder 2 says, in short, the response videos they've seen are unplanned, as it's people coming out of their homes when something is happening. Responder 1 says, in short, that people should be having fun and making fun of ICE agents.

Responder 2 says, in short, the situation is terrifying, not fun, because ICE agents aren't just marching through their streets, they're actually abducting people, throwing tear gas, and injuring people. Responder 1 says, in short, that you can't let the terror overtake you. Responder 2 says, in short, that just because Chicagoans aren't partying while their neighbors are being abducted, that doesn't mean they aren't partying ever.

Today in unhinged opinions on the internet, someone thinks Chicagoans should be turning ICE abductions into dance parties.

You're misunderstanding what a Venn diagram illustrates. This is one is saying leftists do all of those things, but that they overlap with libs in hating trump, overlap with conservatives in liking guns, and are different from libs and conservatives in that they don't bother telling the two apart.

Further to that point, those public hours posted on the sign are the same as all Chicago Public Parks' hours. So it's not like there's a special need to fence it to tell people to stay out during non-public hours.
