If you blame/attack Democrats more than Republicans, you are not on the left.

There are basically two customers for the chatbot product:
1) People who use it as glorified Google
2) People who use it as a moldable companion

There's clearly a lot of money in No. 2, but it's also extraordinarily dangerous. We've already seen OpenAI lean into this in a way they didn't before.

The article literally says this guy was armed with knives in trying to intercept a truck. He was planning to kill!

It's morbid, but I'd be interested to see self-harm rates compared by AI firm. It feels like this is the frontline of the race to the bottom.

It's a technology whose first victims are most likely to be the people with the most political power in the US.

They're not going down without a fight.

It’s also why I think Dem pressure on AI shouldn’t be being anti-datacenter and the kind of online luddite shit.

Rather, the position should be demanding regulation for a soft and responsible rollout of AI. It protected workers and will take a lot of the dark money spent against them out of play.

Salesforce isn’t gonna get innovated out of existence without a fight on the regulatory side.

The moment I realized AI’s most imminent and obvious use case is replacing the entire software sector’s white collar workforce (particularly middle management) and frontline coding staff, I knew fears of mass unemployment were gonna be a little overstated.

Hiring has been broken for a while. Firms get a giant pile of applications that all are basically the same.

Seekers send out hundreds of messages knowing most don’t get read at all.

β€œTinderization” is spot on. It’s the exact same dynamic where an expanding universe paralyzes action.

β€œVeteran”?

That’s gross. I don’t know why you all think your irrational hatred of Pete gives you permission to be vile.

04.03.2026 14:20 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The quotes around β€œveteran” just goes to show how vile Pete’s haters are.

So the polling actually predicted the outcomes pretty well.

That same polling says that a major Dem saying this would be devastating to the party writ large.

People want ICE reined in. Luckily, actual Democrats know this and aren’t gonna fall for the 2020 stuff again.

I might agree with this were it not also true that the Bernie movement and Biden β€˜20 movement were also negative coalitions defined by what they oppose.

Many of the progressive visions are just MAGA-styled demagoguing about billionaires instead of immigrants. You might prefer it; still negative.

The glee that people on this app have shown for places like Dubai suffering civilian attacks isn’t surprising, but it is sick.

Humanity and empathy are conditional for the online far left, just as it is for the entire right wing.

Talarico and Crockett honestly both are great. Both camps of rabid supporters don’t deserve them.

This race was an embarrassment, and not because of either candidate or the party. It was because of YOU.

The stuff this administration has been leaking over the last 48 hours is stunning.

Really puts to bed any lingering questions about information security from the 2016 election, eh?

I would like to dedicate this specific post to all the people who spend 2024 and 2025 attacking Biden and Harris from the left.

I’m sure all the people on here who spend all day every day making up a Gavin Newsom to yell at will read this and really internalize it.

A lot of people ask β€œwho is <infuriating news outlet to the right of its liberal audience for>,” and the answer is β€œits liberal audience.” Many papers are intentionally foils or antagonists even before the clickbait era. they need to get people angry and whether it’s at them is secondary

All of the big protests over Israel stopped as soon as Trump got in office and never started again even after he bombed Iran twice in cooperation with them.

This is plainly visible to anyone with fucking eyes but you'll still get yelled at for saying it.

i really feel like anyone who supports platner and is old enough to answer the question should ask themselves what they thought of gabbard in, say, 2014

Yeah, I think Gore’s campaign made the most tactical mistakes of any campaign this century, but it’s also insane to think of how it was covered at the time compared to literally every GOP campaign then and since.

Gender theory of politics is undefeated.

It’s actually crazy how people simply forget everything the second it’s over.

β€œDemocrats had two years to fix this.” What? Where were you during those two years?

β€œ!!” feels feminine, right? Meanwhile the guys are all ending their texts with Β§

Nobody watched the hearing, and Democrats doing good things simply doesn’t get the same number of likes.

It’s a structural problem with all these apps and it’s why we can’t win the information war.

Donald Trump can still be supreme leader of Iran if Mike Pence has the courage.
