In the Rega game hosted by @tfttstudios.bsky.social there was Koldie! I was the Oldie half, the halfling occultist who makes friends by insisting they're his new friends. Kole, the sexiest dwarf alive, was my beau. It started with me doing the friend thing, insisting he's my bestie.

I frame every project with these questions and revisit them across the development process, including once a game is done.

While it takes so much longer to create my games and products I make I think when they do reach completion they have more purpose.

You may not agree with this assessment or with my ideas but I really think folks forget that a Discord Community needs active engagement just as much as social media and marketing content.

The Discord server is the step after marketing and reaching new markets.

Utilize it.

I can't imagine how I would feel as a server/supporter member without social media being the last person to know every announcement.

It is unfair to the people who have already committed to your space when you prioritize marketing and reach. Make sure to include them!

I see folks announcing shows/castings/cancellations to Social Media but not servers. It is a Pet Peeve.

Servers are central community locations already invested in you!

What the fuck was I thinking.

And then I see stuff about new California laws and the whole seizing away autonomy (or life) happening there and want to scream.

It'll always be home.

I miss Oakland and the Bay Area in California.

I was born Sacramento (Foothill Farms area, anyone else?) but ended up in SF for college.

When I didn't graduate (Physical Education credits) and my bio mom asked me to move to Missouri to help her out, I did.

New bone fact just dropped: did you know that all of the bones in your body have fancy Latin names and if you learn all of those Latin names, you can become a bone magic wielder like Kaz (or at least impress your friends at parties)? Stay tuned for all of this knowledge to drop!

The DM asking "are you sure you want to do this" instead of murdering your character outright is that kind of middle of the road, tepid centrist compromise that doesn't go nearly far enough.
Just tell your players about possible consequences. Don't be a dick.

It's a little bit meta but I've used something like "in character you'd know/remember [context] and (assuming roles have been made/this is obviously) it seems that such actions would be taken unfavorably." Is such a great way to do this without changing the flow of the game too much.

Coming soon: The Almanac of Sanguine Paths A 1-2 player, GM-less, letter writing and journaling roleplaying game for werewolves who don't bite the postman.

One perk of launching a werewolf ttrpg on a full moon is that I have been looking forward to next week's (Aug 30th) super blue moon well in advance of my usual 'not noticing until it's too late' nonsense.

The full moon *after* this one is still going to be my favourite, though.
