For people who think book banning isn't a big deal because even if they're not available in libraries and schools, you can still buy them--this is an elitist argument. Most kids ONLY have access to books from their library. Libraries ensure info access for all. Libraries are vital in democracies.

Yup, people get surprised to hear I have a banned book. Know how many I actually have? Five. Know what that does? Keep my book off shelves and away from being discovered or read by the very audience I intentionally wrote it for. That’s it.

Yep. "I need you to do X by Y date so I can do Z on time" is a really useful thing to make explicit. As is "I need you to do X by Y date because if you do it later, we'll have finished with Z, which X intended to precede in the order of what we're doing."
