We realized it’s a good idea to test sketch art directly in the location before spending time on final coloring and rendering, especially since our game relies heavily on visuals and object readability.

We built our own tool to import text into the engine. We tested, tweaked, tested again... and ended up with a plain Excel sheet. Flashy solutions don’t always win.

It seems we've entered a cycle where making memes about development keeps fueling the creation of even more memes.

Attention, question: What is the programmer trying to show?

The worst thing in development? No questions asked, but the task gets done... wrong 😓. We've learned from it. Recently, while redoing art (more on that later), a call revealed all three of us saw the same guideline differently. In the screenshot, our programmer explains how he sees THIS in the game.
